As some of you know, paticularly those on the 50th reunion committee, I volunteered to chair the committee for our 55th reunion. An overwhelming majority of you expressed a desire to have a 55th reunion rather than wait until the 60th. The 55th would be in 2015.
Recently, some or all of you may have received an email and a survey regarding a combined reunion planned for August, 2015, for the classes of 1958,1959,1960,1961 and 1962. It is being organized and planned by a member of the class of 1960 and of 1962.
I spoke to the class of 1960 member who told me that, according to the online survey, 40 members of the class of 1961 are in favor of the combined and may attend it. Apparently, tentative plan for the combined reunion is for activities during the day on Saturday, a dinner Sat. night and a Sunday brunch. This leaves Friday evening for the individual classes to have their own individual reunion if they wish to do so.
The committee members and I need your input and opinions. Are you in favor of the combined reunion next August? Should we just have our own in 2016? Might you attend either one or is it all a moot point for you? Tell us if you would not attend no matter what is done. We NEED input from you. We'll do what you wish, but that survey needs to be verified. Please respond to this email.
Also, if you know that someone in the class has a new email address or is very ill or deceased now, please tell us. If someone doesn't have email, and you are in contact with him or her, please tell that person about this.

I have received a response from many of you regarding a 55th reunion of our class in 2016. Many of you have not responded, however.
Please let me know (rjluchini@aol.com) if you would like to have a reunion of our class in 2016 and whether you would be likely to attend.
We need an adequate sample size in order to proceed with the plans.
I am sure you have been contacted by those planning a combined reunion of the classes from 1958-1962 for next August. Our class is not directly involved in planning that reunion, but some of you may be planning to attend. That's great. Go for it. That is a separate issue from our reunion of our individual class.

03/23/2015 Ron Luchini sent an email to classmates indicating responses to his 10/05/2014 indicate3d a majority of those responding wish to hold a 55th reunion event and he is planning for it to occur in August, 2016---planning is in process and he is looking for volunteers to help him with this endeavor. Contact Ron directly if you wish to volunteer your services.
03/24/2015 Ed Mack set up a new Facebook secret group titled 'BHS-1961 Class Alumni' and also created an event there titled 'BHS-1961 55th Reunion-2016' which will detail activites for this event as deloped by the planning committee.
