.........The 50th is now in the history book for our class and 'CozyMan' Kohl reports it was a smashing success...ALL are already looking forward to our next reunion get-2-gether!!!!! A special thanks goes out from the class to Coach Clark and his wife, Glenda, for attending our Saturday nite gala dinner and sharing in the evening's festivities, especially the 'pass the mic' portion....

The 50th reunion INVITATION RSVP is DUE NOW.......PLEASE include your check payable to "BAY HIGH CLASS OF 1961" if you plan to ATTEND (Cost Breakdown: Friday Social $25-2people or $15-1 person....Saturday Dinner $50/person....Sunday Picnic $25-2people or $15-1 person). An informational page was also included with details on local hotels/motels. Return your RESPONSE slip indicating your interest in golfing and/or the minibus tour of Bay too.

Ron is still looking for a volunteer to load an iPod with music from our 'era' which must include Dion's "RunAround Sue" on the sound track.....if interested contact Ron directly.

50th BHS-1961 REUNION .............JULY 22, 23 and 24, 2011 In Bay Village, OHIO......

FRIDAY --- Casual EVENING SOIREE (starts at 7pm) at the Legacy Golf Club (Avon Lake)....cash bar, munchies, great scenic/FABULOUS site.....courtesy of Len and Gary....THANKS guys!!!!!

Daytime --- Golf in the morning @Sweetbriar GC (Avon Lake, OH)......Teeing it up will be: Chris Clarke, Dick Corrington, Bob Crump, Winnie Kitchen, Dave Koelliker, Tim Kohl, Dave Wilson, Sue and Jim Zemek (Kulas)

--- Bus tours (45-60 minutes long) of the Bay scene....we have a 29 passenger minibus from 12-3pm....Ron says we got two full buses.....

Night --- An Evening affair (starts at 6pm with cash bar) at the Cleveland Yacht Club (Rocky River) GREAT site-overlooks the lake, patio, beautiful grounds and can walk the docks........cash bar, great dinner-3 entree choices (Chicken/Prime Rib/Salmon), music/dancing.....Tim "Cozy" Kohl will be our 'host MC" for the evening and will feature a pass "the mike" moment when attending BHS-1961 classmates will be given the opportunity to share 'a special BHS moment/past experience' with everyone. Norris Carpenter is also going to have on display remembrance photos of each of our deceased classmates along with a "moment of remembrance" service.

SUNDAY --- FareWELL picnic at the Walker Road Park from 9am-Noon.....casual, coffee/juice (Continental-style breakfast)....The Euclid Beach Rocket Car, per request, is in orbit now but is scheduled to land, strictly coincidentally, during our class reunion on Sunday morning at Walker Road Park. This is amazing, isn't it! How could we be so lucky says Ron Luchini, Reunion Mission Control Commander.

Just Yesterday, Right

Wasn’t it just yesterday, with smiles so big and bright,

We headed out to see the world, to make a wrong into a right.

We danced and knew that youth was ours forever and a day

And never really did believe our hair would turn to gray.

We married and had children and then were blessed to see

That there are now grandchildren who look like you or me.

The jobs we took, the paths we chose, were not always what we’d dreamed

But happiness and sadness, mixed and life flew by it seemed.

But each of us can celebrate, and know that we’ve been blessed.

With lives quite full, of people loved, and laughing we can rest.

And think of days we had together in school for those few years.

And then at our reunion, we’ll toast the past with cheers.
